Connection is a campus community app for verified university students. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the Connection website and mobile apps.
1. Who we are
Connection is operated by Tath Plucksataporn, Thailand ("we", "us"). For any privacy question or request, email Theconneection@gmail.com.
2. What we collect

| Photos and videos you upload | To display them with your post or comment. |
| Direct messages you send | To deliver them to the student you chose. Messages are private between the two of you; our administrators can only access them when a message is reported, to review that report. |
| Technical data: device type, app version, IP address, crash logs | To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix bugs. |
We do not collect your real name, phone number, student ID number, location, or contacts.
3. Anonymous posting
When you post or comment anonymously, your username is not shown to other students, and the post does not appear on your profile. However, the post remains linked to your account in our systems. This lets us remove content that breaks our rules, suspend accounts that abuse the service, and comply with lawful requests. Anonymous means hidden from other students, not hidden from us.
4. How we use your information
- To provide the service: showing posts, comments and profiles to verified students at your university only.
- To moderate: reviewing reports, removing content and suspending accounts that break the rules.
- To translate: when you tap Translate, the text of that post or comment is sent to a translation service (see section 6).
- To keep the service secure and to fix problems.
- To contact you about your account, for example a security notice or a policy change.
We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it.
5. Who can see your content
Posts and comments are visible only to logged-in, verified students of the same university. They are not public on the internet and are not shown to students of other universities. Our administrators can see all content, including who wrote anonymous posts, for moderation purposes only.
6. Service providers
We use trusted companies to run the service. They process data only on our instructions.

Because these providers are outside Thailand, your data is transferred abroad. We choose providers with strong security standards and contractual protections.
7. How long we keep it
- Your account and content: for as long as your account exists.
- After you delete your account: your profile and email are removed within 30 days. Your posts and comments are either deleted or kept with the author link removed, so they can no longer be connected to you.
- Reports and moderation records: up to 12 months, so we can handle repeat abuse.
- Technical logs: up to 90 days.
8. Your rights
Under Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and similar laws, you can:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct your username or profile at any time in the app.
- Delete your account from Settings inside the app, or by emailing us.
- Withdraw consent, object to processing, or ask us to restrict it.
- Complain to the Personal Data Protection Committee (PDPC) of Thailand.
To exercise these rights, use the app settings or email Theconneection@gmail.com. We respond within 30 days.
9. Children
Connection is for university students and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
10. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to your content is controlled at the database level so that students can only see content from their own university, and only administrators can see the author of anonymous posts. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
11. Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will notify you in the app before the change takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.

- Turn on Post anonymously to hide your name. Other students see "Anonymous", and your profile page never shows the post
Translate
Every post and comment has a globe button. Tap it to read it in your language, tap again for the original.
Report or block
- Tap ⋯ on any post, or on a profile
- Choose Report and tell us why. Admins review every report within 24 hours
- Choose Block to stop seeing someone's posts
Your privacy
